Essential tips: cleaning external ceramic tiles

Did you know that the ideal cleaning products for ceramic tiles are practically the same, whether they are used indoors or outdoors? This is great news because it makes maintenance simpler and more affordable.

Clean water is often all that is needed to clean your ceramics. If you feel you must use a product, use a neutral cleaner made specifically for grouting or ceramics or a slightly alkaline detergent and always rinse after application. 

Never drip the cleaning product directly onto the floor, as some products can be chemically attacked and leave marks. It is recommended that the product is diluted and applied to a cloth.

Products commonly known as "stone cleaners" have hydrofluoric acid, which when reacting with the Silica (present in the structure of the tiles) does not clean, but leaves the tiles more porous, with a false impression of efficient heavy cleaning, but with time will impregnate the dirt even more.
